Whitespace is the creation of Melbourne based Graphic Designer, Amanda Furner.
She holds a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication (Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney and has over 15 years of experience working in a studio, inhouse and freelance capacity.
Some kind words:
"For close to 10 years and across three different organisations, Amanda has worked for me as both an inhouse and freelance graphic designer. She is a dedicated professional and brilliant graphic designer who brings a high level of skill and attention to detail to each project she performs. I wouldn't hesitate recommending her design services ranging from brochures, event banners, social media posts, brand development, websites, animated gifs through to annual reports and much more."
Tracey Mesken: Head of Marketing, Workpac Group
"I’ve worked with Amanda at White Space Design and Illustration for a number of years. In that time, she has redeveloped our brand and stationery, designed a number of magazine advertisements, brochures and trade show banners for us as well as some product packaging labels. She is always a pleasure to work with, is professional, approachable and nothing is ever too much trouble. I have recommended Amanda to many of my customers and colleagues."
Daniel Hays: Director, Spencer Systems Australia
"I have had the pleasure of working with Amanda for more than ten years. I first met Amanda when she was an internal graphic designer in a very busy marketing and events team, and then as a freelance graphic designer when she started her own business.
Throughout the years, I have had the opportunity to work with designers of varying skills, but I find Amanda’s skills unique – she has the creative talent of a great designer, as well as a methodical personality. The result of her work is flawless.
Amanda understands creative briefs really well, and she is very good at articulating what you have in mind. I have never felt the need to over-explain. She is very skilled at capturing the essence of a brand. Over the years, she has worked on countless rebranding exercises, marketing collateral (including very technical documents), web related design, and advertising material for the various organisations I have worked at. Amanda has always been my first port of call when it comes to graphic design.
Recently, Amanda worked on refining the Queensland Alliance for Mental Health brand to ensure its consistency. Her work is polished and professional, and she has made our brand shine. I cannot recommend Amanda highly enough; she is without a doubt the best graphic designer I have worked with in all my Marketing roles. You will not find another person with such a balanced skillset."
